Introduction  |  Golden Light Sutra  |  Sanghata Sutra

Unlike other sutras, the Sanghata Sutra is unique in that it is a teaching where Shakyamuni Buddha described how he himself had heard the sutra from a previous Buddha. The Sanghata Sutra is a Mahayana Buddhist scripture recorded in Sanskrit. It is one of a special set of sutras called dharma-paryayas that serve to transform the minds of those who hear or recite them.

While reciting the sutra, you will find yourself drawn into an amazing literary expedition, full of anecdotes and fascinating discoveries. Most important of all, reciting the Sanghata Sutra is an incredibly easy way to purify our karmic obscurations and accumulate inconceivable merits.
