
The Lam Rim (stages of the path to enlightenment) incorporates all
84,000 teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha. This excellent treatise, composed
by the great Tibetan master Lama Tsong Khapa, uses authentic Buddhist
texts as its scriptural source. The Lam Rim presents a concise,
systematic approach on how to practise Buddhism according to one’s
abilities and aspirations.
New members are welcome and some prior knowledge of Buddhism is helpful.
This course has been in progress at ABC since Jun 2005. The curriculum
is catered for students who wish to deepen their understanding of Dharma
as a basis for daily practice.

This course gives a brief overview of A Guide to the Bodhisattva's
Way of Life, a well-known Mahayana Buddhist text composed by the
great pandit Shantideva. The essence of the teachings is the Mahayana
practice of the six perfections.
This course is suitable for students who already have a good
understanding of the Lam Rim, stages of the path to enlightenment.
