Offer precious heaps of rice to the Buddha
By making even a tiny offering of one grain of rice to a statue of the Buddha, one accumulates extensive merit. Imagine the merit gained when one offers a handful of rice – that merit is far greater.
Then imagine how much merit is accumulated by offering heaps of rice, visualising each grain as a wish-fulfilling jewel, offering to the Buddha on behalf of countless sentient beings with the wish to achieve enlightenment for all of them!
50,000 kilograms of rice are available as offerings to the Jade Buddha statue throughout the exhibition period from 13 – 26 January 2012.
For a token of $5 per kilogram of rice, we welcome you to make an offering of rice to the Jade Buddha statue for limitless skies of merit.
The entire bulk of 50,000 kilograms of rice will be distributed to eight designated charities among the multi-racial communities in Singapore at the conclusion of the exhibition of the Jade Buddha for Universal Peace.
You can make an offering starting now. Donate on-line or visit our office from 16 December 2011 till 12 January 2012. From 13 – 26 January, visit us at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza for on-the-spot offerings.
