Guru Puja Performed on the 10th and 25th of the month of the Tibetan calendar
Guru Puja is a significant and profound practice to honour our spiritual masters and the Three Jewels. The purpose of performing the Guru Puja is to actualise both the method and wisdom aspects of the path that lead to becoming enlightened for the benefit of all sentient beings. This depends on the very root of the path, relying correctly on the qualified guru. On this basis, one visualises the merit field and requests blessings with heartfelt faith and devotion with the intent of generating the realisations of the path to enlightenment.
This practice is recited in both Tibetan and English.
Tara Puja Every Sunday (except the first Sunday of the month) at 4 pm
Tara is a buddha in female form that embodies the enlightened activities of all the buddhas. Praying and relying on Tara brings quick results to whatever we want and need including the ultimate happiness of enlightenment. She also helps to bring temporal benefits to the concerns of this very life such as to do with family, relationships, health or work. Through supplicating the compassionate qualities of Tara, you can obtain any happiness that you wish for in this life.
This practice is recited in both Tibetan and English.
Medicine Buddha Puja Every 1st Sunday of the month at 4 pm. Starts 3 June 2012.
Medicine Buddha is the manifestation of the healing energy of all enlightened beings. Prayers to the seven Medicine Buddhas are especially powerful because of the extensive prayers they made to benefit sentient beings. They strongly prayed for the temporal and ultimate happiness of all sentient beings and vowed that their prayers would be actualised during times of need.
