ABC SUNDAY SCHOOL

ABC Sunday School was launched on 11 November 2007 to teach children from age six to 12 years to be good-hearted people. We provide a conducive environment to encourage students in their spiritual growth. Besides fun-filled and meaningful activities such as songs and dramas, recitation of Buddhist prayers and meditation, children will learn about the Buddhist way of living through interesting Dharma stories.

The advisor of the Sunday class is Geshe Chonyi who will be guiding volunteer teachers in their delivery of the lessons. Parents who enrol their children in the Sunday school must be aware that there will be practical sessions where the children will participate in hands-on activities, even getting their fingers in the grime, and that recycled materials will be used to teach them the importance of environmental conservation.

The students of ABC Sunday School will learn mainly these: remembering the kindness of others, not to harm others, and to cherish others. Through hands-on activities, children will learn how to serve food during lunch, wash dishes, and clean the centre’s premises.

We look forward to seeing your children for many meaningful Sundays to come.
